Chaotic, close: Reno-McBride race undecided as poll problems anger voters

Problems at polling locations throughout Florida during the primary election seem to have hurt Janet Reno's chances of winning the democratic nomination for Governnor. There were problems with new electronic voting machines, poll workers not being adequately trained, and long lines. The winner of this race would challenge Jeb Bush for Governor's seat in the November General Election.

Broward official fears choatic elections office will torpedo primary

Election offiicals attempt to reassure voters that next week's primary will go smoothly with the memory of the 2000 Election still fresh on many minds. However, the leader of the Broward County Commission said that the election will be a disaster. Siting that too many problems had been experienced in the preparation phase for the election.
