COE Cybercrime Treaty Favors Law Enforcement
The Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime carries controversial provisions that have not been brought to public attention. Among other things, the Convention will prohibit "virtual child pornography," it will require standard procedures for the capture and retrieval of online information in real time, and it requires nations to share electronic evidence.
