Armey Recommends Changes to HIPAA Privacy Regs
Majority Leader Armey (R-TX) recommended in a letter that Secretary of Health Tommy Thompson amend the HIPAA medical privacy regulations. Armey requested that Thompson impose a warrant requirement before Health and Human Services (HHS) officials can obtain patients� records.
