Austin Implements Fusion Centers

Austin, Texas has started its fusion center. "Fusion centers" are a means of bringing together information from distributed sources for the purpose of collection, retention, analysis, and dissemination. Sources include federal, state as well as local law enforcement agencies. These intelligence databases collect information on ordinary citizens and have raised substantial privacy concerns.
